2005-E450,want to swap out a 6.0 for 7.3

Just finnished pulling another dead 6.0 ltr out of my e-450(what a job!!!)and am wanting to put eithre a 7.3 on its palce ,My question is will it fit and match up to the tranny ,and what about wiring? just some questions,any help is appeciatted.

It's gonna be a job to get it working right. I don't know if it holds true for a van, but on the trucks the 7.3 uses a 4R100 trans and the 6.0 uses a 5R110 which aren't interchangeable. You will also need a different wiring harness and computer. Probably also need a different instrument cluster, engine mounts, drive shaft and many other miscellaneous items. Your best bet is to find a old van with a 7.3 and start swapping parts or to do a cummins swap as there are parts to utilize your old equipment.
