Water pump
Yep, I just turned 105 thousand on my 1997 E350 Turbo 7.3 diesel RV and noticed a puddle of coolant underneath on the ground. Looks like it's coming from the weep hole on the water pump. My question : is the procedure for changing the the water pump on an E350 the same as on a regular truck? Sure doesn't look like much room in there to operate. Would it be better to remove the radiator or just work from the top?

I'd remove the radiator. Free up some space and not have to worry about damaging it.

Thanks John for the quick response. I pulled the radiator and it made more room for sure, plus your right no chance of damage. Now waiting for my 1 7/8" wrench to get here. Might have to go to NAPA and borrow one. Hoses look good, but will replace the serpentine belt since it is off anyway and keep the old one for emergency purposes.

My theory has always been that you have to drain the coolant so just a few bolts and a couple clamps and you can have the radiator out and a bunch of room but that's just me.

Yep...take out the radiator!! Left mine in and had to take it out anyhow to fix the hole I put in it with the ratchet!!!! OOPS!!!!
