98 E350 mileage
A couple of months ago I did a 2400 mile round trip in my 98 E350. On the way out, unloaded, no trailer, I did calculate the mileage but now I don't exactly remember - it was somewhere around 20mpg. On the way back, towing a 24" enclosed trailer, about 8k total trailer weight, I do remember the mileage - it was 12mpg. Really not bad for all that weight. I agree with the other posters, the very best you're likely to do with a 7.3 in an E350 is about 22mpg. Oh BTW - my van has 3.55 gears. |
