97 PSD Dually advice?

My great uncle has a 97 PSD Dually Crew cab that has 350k miles on it. Put a brand new tranny in around a 1000 miles ago. Its all power and a pretty nice truck. He hasnt had a problem with it. Replaced small stuff like the water pump and such. I think I can take it off his hands for around 4k. No performance parts its all stock, and he bought it brand new. He used it to pull 5th wheels all across the country. Im just alil worried about getting it and it being one problem after another. Any body want to put their 2 cents in? Thanks Wild Phil

mileage is high, but if it's 4x4 and in good shape for the year, inside and out... and the bottom line is if you like it and think you're getting a good deal, then you are...

Personally, I'm not a fan of 2wd trucks... I'd go for $3K, but that's me... 4x4 might be worth what he's askin'.

Yeah its 2WD and pretty clean. The out side has a few dings, and one of the dually flares is messed up. Im thinking around 3k myself. Really love the truck just worried about another project gone wrong and turning in to a money dump. My 05 is 4x4 and I have a Chevy made for mud. So im looking to make this my daily driver and slowly build it up.

pickin' it up for $3K and goin' from there would be a good route... would make a good tow truck for haulin' the mudder and a few friends, crew cabs are nice for that...

Yeah I agree. Id like to trade my 05 in on a crew cab but I dont think thats going to happen, plus its only got 42k miles on it. So once I get some bucket seats up front, and power windows installed I like it alot more. lol
