One thing that I guess I'm just gonna have to deal with, havin a fat bottom girl, is rock chips in my rear fenders.

What are some ways ya'll battle them? I was thinking Line-X the front of em?

my truck has a DIY liner in the bed and i HATE it. Had Line-X in last truck and LOVED it. Where I got it done, they'd spray anything you wanted, did alot of body stuff, rocker panels etc.

No!

I wouldn't do the bedliner thing, unless you have an offroad paint job.

You can get some clear plastic self adhesive sheeting that is intended for applications like this. Cut it to the shape you want-

Some of the older trucks came with this in front of the rear wheels just for this purpose (like '81 GMC). I have used it to protect the paint below the fuel filler on my old Camaro, etc. It's hardly noticable.

Can't remember where I bought it, a small roll. Probably an autobody paint supply place IIRC.

what he said ^^^ they sell it on ebay pre cut for your hoods and fenders so maybe you can find one for your truck or a sheet not cut.

I worked in a shop and we sprayed a bunch of rocker panels and they all turned out great. As soon as i get the money i am having my two-tone silver stripe sprayed to go with an all black truck...
