Good Deal?

I have been looking for a tow vehicle to pull our new 5th wheel and I found
what looks like a good deal. It is an 04 F350 Lariat with tow package, 4X4,
dually, 59K miles, body is in excellent condition, no rust and no accidents,
non-smoker. The asking price is $19.9K but was thinking I might be able to get
this for less.. say $16.9K as this has been on the lot starting at $28.9 and is
now down to the asking price but has been there for 6 months. Lots of options
on this truck. Wife likes it and it drives nice.. was traded in on a 08 F350
according to the dealer.

Thanks.

i think the price is a lil high... because the fuel is so high right now we have an upper hand in negotiating on trucks.. esp diesel trucks... for almost 20k i would think you could easily find a 05+ sd with under 80k miles...

04 deal

16.9 is a good price on an 04. i have the exact same truck with the exact same mileage. i bought the truck new and have kept it emmaculate. i think that the 2 most important things to consider if i was buying it and knowing what i know now is has it been burning good fuel and has the oil change maintenience been kept up and how frequent. i always run the best fuel i can, along with cetane additive and cleaner every tank and have changed my oil every 3,000 miles and fuel filter and seperator every 5,000 miles. there may be no way of knowing about the quality of fuel, but i have proof of my oil changes (through FORD who did them). this may be anal but i pull a 32 ft rv across the country, hills, mountains, 7% grades, snow in wi & new york, heat in arizona, blowing dust, and have never been let down by my 6.0. it has power when i need it and room and comfort to ride in. my 04 has paid for itself 2 fold and still is making me money with money spent on good maintience it looks like it has a long ways to go. check on its maintience record through owner or ford. they'll have it if they kept it up
