Need Some Advice

I am new to this forum, although I have been a part of a lot of other forums including the other big forums that have Dodge, Chevy, and Ford trucks.

I have not yet made up my mind on which truck would be best for me, but I am leaning towards a Ford because my family is primarily Ford owners. Although, I would go with either of the other two manufacturers if I feel that it would be a better truck.

So, although I dont tow heavy loads a lot, when I haul things it seems to be a whole lot and I also tow heavy when I do tow, so I figure on getting a dually because when I find trucks that are used, they seem to be the same price now anyway, so I figure on just getting the biggest thing I can afford, which is a dually.

My question is whether any of you dually owners have any advice for me as I have never owned a dually before.

I have other questions, but I dont have the time right now, so I'll get back to it later.

Thanks in advance for the help.

My only advise is pretty simple. Don't forget about the fenders sticking out.... If your mirrors fit in a gap your fenders will fit in a gap. other than that the maintanence is the same other than 6 tires instead of 4... and the truck will ride, handle just like a an F-350 single wheel.

horse before carriage

i bought my 04 350 6.0 dually 4x4 crew cab LWB with the intentions of buying a rv to go in all conditions from coast to coast and north and south. no matter what trailer i bought i wanted a truck that would pull it. my rig works all the time and so far has never let me down. most people that buy duallys have a specific task in mind for it. if i could i would have one just for putting around town it. they make a statement on there own like no other truck can. flat-bottomed girls. there not for everyone. but they are for me

Its pretty simple really. Buy the ford and you support someone in Louisville. Buy the chevy and you support someone in Indiana Michigan or Canada. Buy a dodge and support someone in mexico.
