I have an 08 F250 CC shortbed now, and I really need to upgrade to a longbed. I spend ALOT of time on narrow dirt roads on hunting leases.
The turning radius on my shortbed F250 is "not so good" and would be even worse on a longbed F250. So... I was thinking of getting an 08 F350 dually with the monobeam widetrac front end option. That cuts the turning radius down significantly! However, you can only get it on a dually, and I don't really need a dually at all. So, as crazy as this seems, has anyone every converted a dually to a SRW? I'd heard you can drive em' with the two outer wheels off, but I'd want to pull off the big fenders too. Is it painted behind those wide hips? Would I have to get a whole new bed? If so how much does that cost? |

I think it would be cheaper to switch out the whole front suspension than convert a dually to a SRW.
