Cooling System Problems: Gasket or Water Pump or Other?

Hey Folks!! How's everyone doing these monsters these days!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just signing on. My son is a member but he and I have distanced so I am going to try to help myself!!

I will post "some place", but the short version is that we replaced head gaskets on the 7.3...twice!

It has run for about a year with no problems. Last night it "blew" threw the expansion tank. We added water; let it sit overnight. This morning I started it; idled for about 3-4 minutes: it "blew out" through the expansion tank. The engine is not hot, water is not hot.

Anyone have an idea where is the problem?

Thanks,

edd
