For me the only time something is close is when you hit something. I've only done this once. I was pulling the company explorer into the back and I was going a little to fast wipped into a parking spot didn't stop in time and hit the fence. No damage but I was laughing. I've also backed into Bobcat buckets but I push those around with the hitch.

columbus kinda sucks for drivin these trucks around. Its hard to turn on the little one way streets that are packed with cars, and findin a spot to park takes a while too. and ive got a short bed, i imagine crew cab long beds wouldn't even try.

Yeah I hear ya. I hate when people are so uncourteous like that. But having the rig is worth it. It's just a matter of patience and dealing with a little inconvenience I think.

Actually I have another. I was going to go through a drivethrough before I realized there were curbs on both sides and I was NOT going to make it without messing up some shrubbery because there was a 90* turn. So I had to back out of it, and it was TIGHT. I didn't even rub a curb.

Well I was cruising around in Los Angeles yesterday in the flatbed and about 3 people almost got the sides of their vehicles wiped out. There was a stalled car in the fast lane and I saw it ahead of time. So I turn my turn signal on and as soon as there is a space I go to go over and a chevy fly's up next to me and now I'm getting close to the stalled car. Find another space to go. Proceed to go over and another car comes up I keep going over I get about a 1/3 of the way in the lane and the car passes me and then another I'm pissed go over all the way another car locks up it's brakes to keep from hitting me. I did get revenge on all of the cars though.

Here's a pic of the flatbed. It's a 7.3

Last edited by 2005F250 : 04-22-2008 at 08:45 PM. Reason: Bigger pic
