What I know is that people who tried to work with a T100 or earlier tundra tended to regret it. Just didn't hold up under heavy use, especially the body and transmission.

Toyotas are great for hauling groceries, but they have a lot to learn about pulling a heavy load, day in and day out.

From what I understand, it was just a concept truck to prove to the Big 3 that Toyota COULD make a dually.....

Honestly I bet if Toyota hit the market with a 1ton, they would have a great market because they have a history of having vehicles that simply last forever

That thing is fuuuugly!!!

I've also read that 'yota isn't doing their diesel anytime soon. If I remember right, an article of when that truck was at SEMA, apparently that 8L had to be shoe-horned in there. Can't see Toyota putting that on the street...at least not the SEMA version.

anyone else read that it sits on a 1/2 ton frame? Ya that thing will last............. Do love the eaton 5 speed though, great tranny. But think of the weight of that thing, i would rather drop a DT466 anyday over that.
