Temp. DRW to SRW to save on fuel?

I was wondering, could you remove the inner wheel in the back to save on fuel cause you wouldn't be turning so much mass? I dont haul often enough to need the dually all the time. most of my driving is around town on the weekends, and some trips when I go to training for work, but nothing to do with weight. If I was gonna haul weight, I could put the inner two back on. Whats your guys thoughts?

Not going to save you enough fuel to counter act the look! Don't mean that as an insult. I would just leave them on and make sure the tires are at the proper inflation.

I guess you could if you really wanted to. I don't think that you'd really see that much of a difference in mpg though.

bad idea due to the offset of your rims this will put lots of stress on wheel studs bearings and housing, the only way to safely do this is to buy rims with the proper offset.

bad idea as this puts lots of stress on wheel studs, bearing and rear end, if you still want to run srw you'll have to get rimswith the proper offset.
