just bought 03 f350 6.0, must do's??????

bought 03 6.0 f30, what recommendations for upgrades or replacements to prolong life and upgrade dependability. truck has 139k, new turbo and injectors. newbie, any recommendations are apprecited. florida climate, may see 30degrees 4 times annually. concerned with fuel economy if there is such, and heads up on problems. also fuel and additives . actually going to lower truck would appreciate any info from those that have done same. 5-7 inch drop.thanks bubba.

, I would start with exhaust and an air intake. And fuel mileage depends on the right foot, but they are not to bad on fuel, approx. 14-20 mpg. If you read alot on the org. you will learn a lot in a short amount of time. The guys are great. And congrats. on the psd.

dont really know too much about lowering but as far as the 03 6.0 goes I could help. Pull off that stock exhaust and ditch the muffler and cat totally. You can get yourself an intake or even an after market replacement. If you want to have even more fun go to ::: DJ's Perfromance :: Home ::: order yourself an SCT and buy some gauges to keep an eye on everything. you'll have alot of fun and be super impressive with the power out of the 6.0. I know I was!
