Will these tires be ok on my F450?

Hello all,

I drive a 08 F450 and just purchased 6-245/70/19.5 Goodyear 12 ply re-groove-able g670 rv tires for it. I did not noticed the (RV) until I got them home and looked at the tires. Do you think it will matter if these are RV tires on my truck for they are the same tread and tire size as the ones on there and they are 14 ply? Thank you for everyone's time reading this and their reply. I cant return them for I did get them used, but the tread is 90% on them.

Since you got them used I would assume they were well worth the price. Depending on where you live those tires may not have any traction for winter or in my case back roads and forest service roads. For me I run M/S tires on all six which is needed for winter and generally looks better.

Check the date code on them. Inspect them good. That tire has had a lot of blowouts. Heard tread separation and load rating were an issue.

I had the same tires size 225 on my F450. The previous owner had them installed. The tire worked great for highway use, I did have a problem with loss of traction crossing wet grass. They did not last very long about 30K miles before I was near the wear bars. I do not think they would work very well if you encounter snow, you may be able to have them siped which would improve traction on wet pavement.
