2008 F450 Dually odd sound
I just purchased a 2008 F450 Dually and I noticed a higher pitch whine when the accelerator is pressed. The sounds goes away when I let off the accelerator and/or coast along but starts right back up when I press the accelerator again. The higher pitch is loudest between 30-50 MPH or so. Is it the turbo? Any ideas should be appreciated.

It's the rear axle. Very common complaint. The dana 110 is a loud axle, seems to get worse with age.
