rough idle at start up when cold
I have a 2006 F-350 King Ranch Crew Cab 4x4 6.0L dually. I bought this truck 4 months ago with 106,000 miles on it. Since then the HPOP went bad and an o-ring caused my truck to dump oil all over and an injector went out. The previous owner deleted the EGR. I love my truck but it has cost me a lot of money in 4 months. I live in Ohio and now that the temps are in the 50's my truck is acting weird. It starts right up but shakes badly for a few seconds after starting then it smooths out and is fine. It also puts out a cloud of whitish colored smoke but just one puff. Once it is running it is fine and no smoke. Why is my truck shaking and blowing smoke ever since it got cold?

Do a search on FICM (Fuel Injection Control Moduel) testing. I bet money thats your problem, module is located under the degas bottle on the driver side vavle cover.
