Lifted 08 F-450
We installed a 8" 4 link lift on our Super Duty. After a few calls on whether this lift would transfer from an 07 F-350 6.0 to 08 F-450 6.4. After getting the green light from a few reputable suspenion shops. We knew the rear U-bolts would not work so had some built locally using 44" 7/8 rod. The sway bar on the F-450 makes the F-350's look like a toy! (every thing on the F-450 is beefier than whats on the F-350) Couple of other things we ran into were the pitman arm is not interchangable, nor is most of the steering linkage. The track bar relocation bracket had to be modified (nice to have a plasma cutter laying around) because of frame differences between these trucks. All in all about 6 hours to swap out all the parts using only one hoist! Nice job and thanks to friends for ALL the effort!
Here are some pics with custom studded and grooved 285/70R19.5 (35.5" tall) Just in time as we woke up to an inch of snow and has been snowing all day!
