Should I Buy This 2005 Dually

Theres a 2005 Ford F350 Dually for sale about 50 miles up the road. It has 165000 miles on it and it was used to haul campers to shows by an rv company. Its towed alot. How much I'm not sure but it hasnt had a gooseneck or anything on it. Anyway its a Lariat with Power seats, leather, power moon roof, power sliding rear windo etc. The price just went from 16999 to 14995 which I think is a steal. Few dings in the bed, rhino lined, interior is okay with some wear. Heres a few pics. Also a few questions.
What kind of mileage do these trucks get. This one is all stock. Id have plans for stacks, afe, and a sct eventually. Anyone know what Muddrunningpig gets out of his truck with the lift and tires? Thanks for your help.

That's a good looking truck, I have one just like it with 52000 on it and I still love the truck. With that many miles I would try for 13.000 to 14.000 tops.

i asked the guy when he was asking 16999 for it how much room he had to drop the price. he said none so i walked away. a month later he dropped it 2000 bucks. also the truck is a 4x4 fx4. i see yours is 2wd.if i didnt already have 1 car payment id pick it up in a heartbeat(after checking it out and driving it ofcourse) but in these times i dont want to have 2 car payments or an empty savings. if its around in another month or 2 ill probably pick it up. thanks for the advice keep it coming.

I'd look for something with less miles.

I forgot to add, make sure it has a 2005 or later engine in it. Look on the left hand valve cover, there is a tag and it tells the date and where the engine was made. If it says 2003 or 2004, let the hood down real slow and then run as fast as you can away from it and never let it cross your mind again. LOL
My 2006 has a 2005 engine in it.
If this truck has never had a re flash done to it, it should get around 16 to 17 on the highway running 65 to 73 mph. If some dummy did a re flash on it when it was almost new, they put a re flash that was only for the 2003 and 2004 trucks, and if so it would be like my truck and only get 13 to 14 mpg on a real good day.
Ford dealers will not admit that they screwed up your truck.
Sorry for being so long, but hope there is something here that can help you.
Doug

been the most help yet. i didnt know about the tag on the valve cover. ill probably wait until our edge is paid for ill owe less than 6000 in a month. ive been aggressivly paying it off expecting a PCS and a new job in the air force. The injectors and the head studs are the weak point in the 6.0's correct? anything else to look for in a truck with this mileage and towing back ground
