New F-Superduty owner with some questions
I just picked up a 95 F-SuperDuty (F450) with a 12' flat dump bed and 147,000 miles on the clock. It has stock steel wheels and I need to put tires on it. I thought at first about trying to find some 19.5 inch wheels and tires for sale but that has been pretty difficult. The truck tachs 2700 at 60MPH so it has some pretty deep gears, 4.56, maybe so I thought some 19.5 would make it a little more driveable? What is a good hauling/towing rpm to shoot for? It will mostly be used as a farm truck so I don't want to sink a bunch of money into tires. But I do plan to haul heavy. Any ideas on a good agressive tread 235/85/16 or another size that would be better? Sorry I asked so many questions.

If you go look at your rear diff. there will be a tag on one of the bolts. Post what the tag says and we can find out what rear end you have
