01f350 front nd 4x4 clinking
Hey guys, just found this great site and thought I'd try and gain some insight as to what's happening in my f350 4x4. With hubs locked I hear a high pitch metallic clinkity clinity from both front wheels when the truck is moving consistent with wheel or axel speed. Then with the transfer case engaged a rurr rurr rurr sound consistent again with wheel or axel speed under load on the drivers front wheel side. Ujoints are new and greased. Any ideas? Keith

Repack the front axle bearings just a guess start at the cheap spots first.
Probably should be done once a year anyway. JER-1 |
