Warn hub not locking- tips before i jump in

i recently purchased a 99.5 7.3, previous owner put brand new warn hubs in months before i bought it (so she says) they look new but i know you can polish a turd, anyway i had a local diesel guy test them out because i got stuck in mud and the fronts didnt spin or engage at all .. he tested them and said the right side is not locking (passenger).. i watched a few videos on youtube, all of which make it look like cake to get them out, but once they are out what am i looking for ? what would cause it not to lock? im assuming stripped teeth or broken clips? what exactly can i do to fix this or what will i see when im looking at a damaged hub thanks

warn hubs are pretty simple to disassemble theres plenty of videos on how to disect the locking part itself if i remember correctly a few snap rings and everything will come apart just check that all the springs and washers are in the same order as on the other side if i remember right the order of the washers is critical and i had trouble putting the new hubs on because the instructions are meant to be almost universal and for 250/350s you aren't supposed to use a few parts that look like youd need them lol
