transmission fan?

I have a 2006 F250 6.0. Towed trailer yesterday and after dropping off trailer trans is making loud noise like the fan is still own. Even though not in tow/haul mode and not towing. Trans is shifting fine, and all guages are normal. Any suggestions

Your kinda confusing me. If your truck is stock you don't have a transmission fan. So is the fan for the radiator on? Or are you saying the transmission is making a fan type noise?

It is stock. The noise is the same noise that the trans makes when in tow haul mode when under a load. I have not had the same noise occur during normal driving.

The trans makes a different noise in tow/haul than in regular? Never heard that one before.
You sure it's not your engine fan still running sometimes?

If I understand the tow/haul mode it does not change anything in the transmission itself. It only changes the shift points. So Id say if you are getting a strange noise while towing or under a load you got issue's.
Forget the dummy gauges, they are worthless...go get a monitor. I got a feeling your truck is hiding a secret......
