How do I figure out what gear ratio I have?

03 F350, 6.0L 4wd

Everything seems to be stock, I have no way to get it up in the air right now (for a few days), but need to know the rear end ratio

Is there a code somewhere? Or they were all sold with x.xx?

It does not have a towing package to my knowledge....would the VIN help?

There should be a tag on the diff and it will tell you the ratio.

Hmmmm never heard of a 4.23. Was that the only numbers on there? For example I think a 3L73 is a 3.73 limited slip. Did you see anything resembling that?

Sadly, no...no recognizable rear end ratios on there..

There is a V 423 and a 73 10 5 3D25

Did they come with anything other than a 3.73 stock?

I believe they also came with 4.10's. Is there an axle code on the inside drivers door certification plate?

D1 is the axle code.

The reason for all this madness- I just got a livewire and Vivian @ DJs needs the info for my tunes...exciting!
