Help! Can't remove front hub lock

Hey guys, have any ideas for this one?
I'm trying to replace the ball joints on my 99 4x4 dually.
Just getting started, took out the snap ring on the passenger side hub lock and tried everything I could think of to remove it before resorting to violence.
Most of it is now in pieces, but the main body of it is still stuck in the hub. I have never had one of these stuck like this. They usually fall out, or just need a tap...
Thanks in advance
Mark

I had to put a piston ring compressor around mine and use the extra leverage to get mine out. It was a PITA!

Finally got it out last night. Had to use the air hammer & chisel bit to get it out. Didn't mess up the hub too much, but I think the corrosion got to it before I did. Unfortunately, this is a pre-3/99 truck so I get to shell out $600 for a new hub.
