Aw hell, I think I got a busted Caliper, or SOMETHIN'

Ok, some of you are aware of my recent right rear brake problems..

So, anyway, I parked the truck, but drove it to the gas station, and then had the ambulance thing happen. ya'll know all about that.

SO, I decide to tear into it today, and what do I find, but one non existant brake pad, two slightly scored brake caliper pistons, and two caliper pins that have plenty of grease on them, of which slide in and out nice and smooth.

What does this mean? Stuck/rusted caliper internally??? Something up the brake line keeping the right rear brake applied? I have a feeling it's going to be expensive

I'm uploading pictures as we speak.

Also, the outside brake pad (on the right rear) has 1/4" of pad left.
It is obvious that the brake is being applied continuously, as I fired the truck up after removing the tire and let it drive itself in 1st gear in mid air, and the right rotor could be forced to turn with a hammer (pushing on the studs) but the left rear was spinning about 10-15 mph worth.

So I got the caliper off like I said, and the pins are nice and free. What does this point to? Scuffy? Anyone? Help

I'd be inclined to say you probably have a bad caliper, not releasing completely. Seen this lots of times, the pistons hang up just enough to cause the inner pad to drag. Are you experiencing any pull when you have a hard brake application?

wow....looking at the pics. you deffinatly need a new rotor, pads, and a caliper...also check for kinks bends or anything out of the ordinary on the brake hose coming off the caliper. make sure you also clamp that hose shut so you dont lose all your brake fluid with the caliper off.

That's what I'm thinking. Oh well, the ball rolls the way, that the ball is gonna roll, you know how it goes, right? My rotor's coming tomorrow afternoon, I plan to go to Advance and pick up the caliper tomorrow as well. Should I go Loaded, or Unloaded? Loaded is about $55 more, but it comes with everything I could possibly need.

I noticed that on the diff too, I have GOT to investigate that too it looks like. Hopefully it's not too low on oil. It's never dripped though, so that's a good thing
