Getting growling noise in 4 x 4 so removed hub locks and found missing washers under the snap ring - passenger side missing the hex washer and driver side missing hex washer and one regular washer. After ordering replacements, I don't have room under the snap ring to install the driver side washers. Did some searching and this post seems to be a similar situation -

I haven't pulled the hub/bearing yet to look at that seal. Does it seem likely this is my problem? Very frustrated, until this truck is back on the road my 5 minute commute to work goes to over an hour, since I can't get my camper trailer on site without it, and looking down the barrel of 6 12+ hour days like that aint' no fun!!!
