Max weight load?!?!?!?!!!!!

Howdy All,
Can I put 2,500# in the bed of a F-350 Single Rear Wheel? I just got 68 sheets of sheet rock free (All legit..........thank you God). But I need to pick it up today. 2,500 in the bed of the truck and 2,500 on a trailer.
Thanks,
Craig

WOW!!! Care to bring any of that up to OKC?? I need a hookup like that! (remodeling upstairs)

I would think you would be okay for a short/one time deal -- just be careful and don't go fast

I'll give it a shot. I have a 100 mile trip to make (one way) I figure if I keep it around 45 - 50 mph with lots of stopping room in front of me I'll be ok.
Thanks,
Craig

I'd think you'd be plenty okay -- specially since that is really only 5K in weight plus the trailer -- so say 7500 lbs...

yeah should be fine craig. I have hauled 4500 pounds in the bed of my old dually from houston to new orleans. granted it was dual wheel but did it with no problems at all.

Thanks for the input fellas. It is all on the trailer right now, I will be moving about a quarter of it into the bed. The trailer is rated for 5K so getting some weight off of it is my priority. The truck did fine from the site to my house, now for the long trip to Clifton. I am taking back roads and staying off of I-35.
Thanks again,
Craig

Figuring that your loaded trailer will put 600-800 lbs of tongue weight on the truck plus the 2500 lbs of drywall in the bed, you should be okay as far as the truck handling it. I have put a known 2300 lbs in my 350 bed and the front end of the helper spring just begins to carry some weight at that point.

You will be over on axle weight rating, but you should be both safe and comfortable.
