broke a diff cover bolt off...
I had the "trusty" torque wrench out, set to 960inch/lbs which = 80 ft/lbs and I was bringing them down and on the last one snap... off comes the top. Take the cover back off, can't get it out b/c it's about 1/16th sunken in the housing. It is one on the top driverside and I just filled it with RTV then reapplied the cap, and about 90 min later added the oil. So 3 questions, should I be really concerned, do I need to worry about the oil getting out, and any ideas on how to get the threaded part out of the housing?

ill bet you dont have an you dont have any issues.....i did that on my first truck and just put it back on and had no issues. if it leaks, dont worry about easy outing it. go to ford, get thier grey sylecone. clean both surfaces VERY well...so it shines.....then use a rag soaked in brake clean to clean it further. then apply the sylecone and seal it up. there is no reason that it shoudlnt seal missing one bolt........Marc

lol I was running late for work today and did not check it. I did not notice a oil spot so I suppose I'll check soon. I didn't think it would be that bad if I used RTV and filled it especially since it was the top... I guess I'll just have to get an ez out kit and try that.
