4x4 Does Not Work All Of A Sudden Please Help!

So my buddy got stuck in some mud earlier today and called me to come pull him out. I got out locked up the hubs and engaged the 4 wheel drive (mine is on the floor not the automatic switch kind) Long story short it didnt work. Front tires were not digging even a little. When I bought the truck I replaced the factory hubs with warn hubs. Not sure what it could be but Id like to fix this soon as winter is coming. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

i've actually seen guys not install hubs properly and they wont work, check to see if the prop shaft is spinning, if it is then its your hubs

4x4 worked fine before yesterday. I'm not a pro by any means but I know a thing or two and have installed warn hubs on every truck I've owned. I just don't get why all of a sudden out of nowhere it dosnt wana work. I'd say I used it about 6 times before yesterday and it worked flawlessly each time. Up until I actually needed it!

Three guesses

1. The linkage has become loose or broken. Climb under and verify it's working.

2. Bye bye transfer case chain. Think you would have heard a pop though.

3. Little gremlins, who incidentally don't like your friend, chose to disable your four wheel drive.

Pick your poison.

Ciao,

Lawrence
