5r110 Vibration noted in high Gear
Hey great people, I have a 03 6.0 F350 SRW long bed, with 35" tires and 6" lift. I'm experiencing a vibration in high gear. When I accelerate, the vibration goes away when the tranny shifts down. I've changed the carrier bearing and all the u-joints (marked the driveline and replaced in same configuration). Any ideas? Rear wheel bearings seem smooth.Thank you for your help in advance!! |

What are you using for a carrier bearing drop? Is it just standard shims? If so, I would suggest getting a fully adjustable carrier bearing drop from Trevor at PMF. The drivelines in these things are especially touchy and any slight offset seems to cause them to vibrate. At any rate, give Trevor a call since he can offer much better advice than I can.
