Transfercase explsoion!!!!

i just want you guys to know i appricate this very much, you guys helped me a ton just a few weeks ago. so here is the new situation

i am in the military and deployed, my brother has my truck, he was driving the truck home to missouri from tennessee when BOOOM! the transfercase split in two, it exploded and looked up on the highway, this is new to me as i have seen many trucks run a long time with no issues in that area, my buddy's truck has 37's and all the banks mods possible and 260,xxx miles and no issues so i dont see durability issues, so anyways do you guys know what years are interchangable?
