Gearshift locked up
Ok here is a challenge for you.....my '04 Excursion Diesel has been having periodic trouble getting out of Park. You put the brake on and try to shift out of Park and it hangs up somewhere. I once in a while just re-push the brake and try again and it shifts. Today......nothing! It is locked in park. Anybody with this experience, suggestions???? Thanks, walking is no fun, btw!!

The shift lock solenoid is going bad, or it's not getting power from the brake switch.
