no 4x4 - Ford Powerstroke Diesel Forum

no 4x4

My 2000 f-250 4x4 does not work.I turn the switch to 4hi or 4lo and nothing.no
4x4 light.I put another switch on and it does the same.I checked all the wires and looks good.I'm thinking maybe t-case motor switch.

I just repaired my 2005 Excursion. It was the acturator that is behind the pass side battery.

A simple check is to take both lines loose from the actuator and hold a finger over each one. If A/C does not blow through defroster when the line are covered and does blow through defroster when uncovered (or plugged into actuator)there is a very good chance it is the actuator. Cost about $60 bucks.
