Suspension clunk

My 99 4wd has a clunk in the front suspension that I can feel through the floorboard it feels like it is right under my feet when it pops or clunks, like it is the front spring. Useally happens when I back out of the driveway first trip out and I hit the brakes. After that it only does it if I hit the brakes hard and sometimes it will and sometimes it won't. My friends Excursion does the same thing. Anyone else have this problem?

It could possibly be the front sway-bar bushings on the sway-bar links. I get a clunk once in a while too.

i would think it would be bad ball joints as well.... also make sure none of your bushings arn't worn out...
