HELP! Need Torque Specs for front spindle nut
Can someone tell me the RIGHT torque specs for the front spindle nut on a '99 F-350 Dually 2X4? I have a repair manual that is telling me 133ft.lbs (which I believe to be way to much for a bearing set) and I also have a computerized repair manual that says 21ft.lbs, then back off, and re torque to 18ft.lbs. The second sounds more like it. I know you don't want to put "drag" on the wheel bearings, but want them to seat.
As always, any help is greatly appreciated. |
