Bearings in dana floating axle
Can anyone please tell me if it is really necessary to pack the rear wheel bearings in grease before re installing even though they run in gear oil? I'm in the middle of putting new brake calipers, rotors, and pads on the rear end. Also is the o-ring axle seal enough, or do I need to use silicone? I prefer to NOT use it.
I want to try to finish this tomorrow so any info would be AWESOME! |

Thanks for the info! I was confused about the grease/oil combo.
