1/4 mile drag with ZF5?
Alright, so the 20th of this month will be my first shot at the 1/4 mile drag. I know the routine with the boost launch with an auto, but what about a manual tranny? start out in 4wd? give it a shot at a boost launch as best as possible? or just keep it in 2wd and start in first and get laughed at? lol. Any suggestion appreciated

from what i understand you cant do a boosted launch in a stick shift because the engines dont build any boost with the clutch pushed in. i have the six speed in the nbs and if it was me i would put it in 4wd and bring up the rpms and then roll out on the clutch.

Use 4x4. My truck is 2wd and I either spun and hoped the wheels real bad or I would bog it real bad. It's hard to get a happy medium. Using 4wd I think you can rev a little higher and come off the clutch a little harder.
