7.3 vs 6.0 sct

i know this might be a stupid question but i just put an sct with custom tune on my truck and its a whole lot faster than i would have ever thought. im turning a dodge guy into a ford guy and he was wondering which truck makes better times on the 1/4 mile and the street with the sct. he is looking for the best application what do you know?

If your asking is a tuned 7.3 or a tuned 6.0 faster then theirs no match. The 6.0 will walk all over a 7.3 tuned or not. It takes a 7.3 lot of money in modes to make the power a simple modded 6.0....

Not sure of your question but the 6.0 is a 4v motor and the 7.3 is a 2v motor. The 6.0 can just move alot more air through her. Also has better turbo, intercooler, tuning. Just a more modern design. Thats not to knock the 7.3. Its a fantastic motor that has a huge following and is just bullit proof! They can also make big power but it just takes alot of $.

i know thats why i am wondering why the 6.0 has a chance against a 7.3 but mine is stupid fast with just a little money in it. i would think the 7.3 is bigger so it would make more power.

No, it won't. Just can't flow like a 6.0. That's all any motor is, just a big air pump. Which ever can move more air can make more power.

a custom tuned SCT, intake, and 4 inch tubo back on a 6.0 will make 400 plus. on a 7.3 it would take sticks and a turbo and tuning to support that at minamal to even get close to a 400+ 6.0. with the 6.0 your starting out with 100hp more then the 7.3.
