2006, you should be fine, in the August 2009 Diesel Power, there is an article on Chaz Lightner's 99 SD CC drag truck with a Cummins in it. "Thw unfortunate drivetrain that is forced to live behind the high-horse Cummins is largely stock, which is a testament to Ford's strength and durability. Special 4r100 TRANNS INTO A stock NP273 chain-driven t-case, which is used to transfer power to all four wheels." Earlier in the same issue is a dyno day report where that truck laid down "over 600 hp, and that was with 40 pounds less boost thn he normally runs at the dragstrip" You should be fine! |
