100 MPH Club

Our local 1/4 mile drag strip has a 100 MPH club. What would it take to get a 6.0 there?

Seriously though, this is what will get you there

Headstuds

SCT with a custom tune set on the top level
80 hp tuned BPD FICM
5" Straight Pipe
Suncoast Built Trans

It would require other mods to make it more reliable but this should get you there.....

According to the HP calculator on PSA, about 550 rwhp... depending on how much your truck weighs.

Should be. I haven't ran mine at the track, but according to the calc (and assuming my truck weighs 6500, heard that from somewhere) in order for me to hit 100mph I should be making 441rwhp.

In order to break 100mph, you need to making the following horsepower for your truck's weight... (looks like 17hp per 250lbs)
lbs: - rwhp:
6500 - 441
6750 - 458
7000 - 475
7250 - 492
7500 - 509

It doesnt take a lot, my 06 truck with an 03 turbo, studs, egr delete, exhaust, innovative xtreme race, no spare tire, tailgate or steps went 13.35 @ 100mph it weighed 7100lbs and made 430rwhp. with a powermax turbo and weighing a little more it went 13.23 @ 100.89. with spray it went 12.68 @ 106 years ago with a stock turbo and crappy reflash.
