Went to North Star Friday

I got 5 passes in before they shut the track down.
First were absolute S#!t but the last 3 weren't bad. I couldn't get any traction off the line if I boosted over 10psi. I did non boosted launches on the best 3 passes. I had to remember I don't have a 4x4 for traction.

All in all , I was very pleased with the final pass. The truck is stock with a tune exhaust and intake. If I can ever afford a decent fuel systems, sticks,a turbo upgrade, a locker and slicks I should be into the low 8's.

Here are the slips. I'm #100

Nothing wrong with that man, nothing at all. At least you got out there and had fun with your truck. Good times for what you have!

Thanks, I really need to get rid of the open diff. It's a peg leggin SOB under boost
It was 53 deg outside, so traction wasn't much good without slicks.

a true trac or a locker and some traction bars would help you hook a lot better with a 2wd. Slicks or Drag radials will help too.

nasty pair of slicks in the rear. cut them 60s down a little bit and you will be in good shape. not bad at all for a 2wd truck with some bolts ons

I don't have any wheel hop or axle wrap due to the spring under, so I don't think the traction bars would help.......anybody got a set of slicks?

yep, I wanted to drop it to match the dream beams. I didn't want to do the shackle and hanger kit and from my off road experience I knew that spring under provides less axle wrap and better traction. The leaf springs now go under the axle instead of above it. When it hooks there is zero wheel hop. My only issue is more power than a single tire can handle.

The truck is stock gearing 3.73:1.

I just scrapped my steel wheels....should have kept two of them for slicks.
