Went to the track

Went to the track yesturday and ran the truck for the first time. She went 8.83 @ 80mph. Truck seemed like it was hooking up good. with 1.8 60ft. Truck weighs in at 7100lbs has the Innovative Diesel Extreme Race tune and a 5" MBRP turbo back. Anybody think i could get her going a bit quicker say a low 8 with just a more agressive tune?

I'm assuming this is your 04, right? I would say that you are just about dialed in for the 1/8th. You might try to improve your 60' times, but that's not bad at all considering your mods.

Thanks for thfeedback Evil,

I figure with that kind of mph and an improved 60' the truck might be good for an 8.6.

If i were to run a water meth kit i guess i would also have to be looking at head studs?

Not necessarily. Just ensure you don't overdo the methanol. 50% is the maximum you should run. Oh and if you do that, Eric can probably write you a bit hotter file since your EGT's will be managable with the water, but, then again, your 135's are probably already dumping as much fuel as they can and any more might just be a waste.
