Dirt drag tips??

I'm going to be competeing in 150 ft dirt drag races one month from today. Does anyone have any tips to help me improve my chances. Do I do it in 4wd? Should I run a full tank for weight so I can get traction or 1/4 to be lighter and faster? Boosted launch ? Any tips are appreciated, I've never done this before and I'm really excited. Oh and I'm in the process ofbuilding a set I traction bars for this as well, what length would be best? Thanks!

Never heard of one that short! They are 300' here! I would still prolly run in 4hi with about 20 lb boosted launch! Gotta a be quick on the light! It will be over in a blink! If you have a good set of off road tires I would be lightweight!! All depends on ur tires as far as weight, if you got good tires go lightweight, if tires ain't that good go with a full tank of fuel!

So I talked to the guy that is #1 in the points where I'm going. He told me 4hi and boost up to 2000 rpm and hold on.
