the easiest way to not smoke the tires half way down the track is let up a little on the go pedal.
I see you're running a rear wheel drive rig so obviously no 4wd launches. How many pounds are you leaving the line with? |

its hard not to smoke tires in my truck and go fast i really need lsd and tires been looking at nitto 420s i leave with maybe 1-2 psi and more than that and those mud tires break loose the way i see it i have alot of room for improvement cause im hooked

I'm not familiar with those tires on the strip but try to hold the brake to the floor and very slowly and slightly ramp up the rpm's. most of the time the guy/kid running the tree will start the lights WAY before you're ready but no rush, time doesn't start till you cross the beams. You will have a fun time trying different methods. A lot of guys are gonna tell you ways to do it but most of them launch in 4 wheel drive so the way they/me do it will not always work for you. Sorry for the mindless post lol

the nitto 420 S is a pretty good tire, very sticky, ive never taken them down the track but from a stand still or stop light i rarely broke them loose, on my f150 tho, not my psd
