beat by a vortec

Was down in my.home state of Florida last week hanging out with some old friends and one of them has a straight axle conversion 2500 ecsb 6.0vortec with about 10 inches of lift and 37s. Truck has cold air, exhaust and a bullydog gt so I figured why not race. Started at 40 mph and I had him til I upshifted to 5th gear then he caught me and left me , I know I'm pretty much stock but anyone else ever mess with some Chevy 6.0s and get beat like that

I used to have an 03' 1500HD with the 6.0 vortec.

My Powerstroke 6.0 will beat it easily.

When my truck was stock I could beat my buddies cc 6.0 vortec, but he has lil lift and tires, now I have a tuner and it looks like hes pulling an anchor when we race around

06' 6.0 cc/sb lariat FX4
Leveled 2" on 295's

Does your truck restrict your max speed? I think untuned trucks limit the speed to a certain mhp, but not sure.

gasser dont stand a chance against a properly tuned oil burner.

january 2003 6.0 F-350 Lariat 4x4 cc with 08 long bed. recon cab and mirror lenses, torqueshift(reman on 9-03-09) with three disc billet convertor(500 rpm lowered stall speed),mag-hytec deep tranny pan,, 8" fabtech lift w/ 37" iroc super swampers on helos,pro comp ladder bars, custom sct x3 with tunes by eric @ innovative diesel, boost and pyro,edge insight, afe, 4" straight piped, ARP headstuds, banks intercooler & high ram intake. engine mods & maintenance by first coast diesel performance.
