New track times!

Well i just got home from the track and my best time of the night went like this

Reaction---.674
60 ft-------1.892
594 ft------8.370
1/8th ET---8.965
1/8th MPH--75.63

Now remember fellas I'm 2wd so I'm only leaving the tree at 1400 RPM and anything else and she spins. It was actually hooking pretty good tonight, but I just wonder what it would run if I could launch around 2000 RPM?

Have you tried VHT trackbite to make the tires grab more??? If not then that may allow you to launch at higher boost levels.

ARB locker (since you tow, don't get a straight up locker) and 31" slicks and you'll be cuttin faster 60's.

You're already faster then most chipped 7.3's who launch in 4wd....

Are you sure on the 60 foot times???? Thats better then my 4wd boosted at over 20lb launch. Its just hard to see a 2wd with out slicks cutting that good of a 60 foot.

Am I sure Slammed SI? Let me check, YEP, I had several 1.9's and on my best run it was a 1.892. I had my tires aired down to 35 PSI which made a big difference over the 60 PSI that was in them, I also put my tool box in the far back against the tailgate and I was able to launch at 1400 RPM everytime with no spin. I tried 1600 RPM 1 time and that didn't work. My buddy with a 07' D Max was mad when all he was running was a 9.4 boosted 4wd launch and he has exhaust, Bullydog Power Pup, and air intake, he was disgusted that this llittle ole 6 oh with just a programmer and half exhaust system.

Good thinking!

Great times - are you running stock SCT tunes or custom?

Well sorta custom, I spent a little time the past few weeks dealing with Chris, a tech from SCT who is great, he made me a custom file to run in my 06 Expedition, just got it yesterday, I had to convert my SCT over to the 9400 I think that's what it's called, anyway when he sent me the new file for the Expedition he also had to send me n ew files for my 6er and I asked if he could send me something a little (hotter) so to speak and all he said was he would see what he could do so ????????????But without being their to put it on the dyno he siad they wouldn't send anything much hotter than stock SCT tunes.

We are talking about Chris with DJ's right? I thought that DJ didn't believe in the dyno!
