Well, it's barely been 2 months since owning this truck and I've already got a race scheduled for 12/2/9. It'll be at the track of course, and there will be videos of it all. I just hope I have enough mods to compete with these guys.
I don't think I can do anything else to the truck to get it faster without studs being the next mod.


My truck: 2003 F-250 King Ranch 4x4 Crew Cab 6.0L

* SCT X3 from Innovative
* 4" Diamond Eye Offroad Turboback Exhaust
* Zoodad
* 2.5" Lift

Race #1: Chevy with mild cam, intake, exhaust dump/cutout, lowered, tires... He ran a 14.9 or a 15.0 a while back.







Race #2: Ford Lightning with 2.8 upper pulley, and I'll assume intake and exhaust. He claimed to run 13.29 a few weeks ago.






Race #3: Old Chevy with a 454. 272 cam, stock heads, stock rods, pistons 30 over,carb 650. Ran a 14.5 a long time ago and hopes to run quicker with welded diff (traction). Claims lack of traction held him back a lot.


Race #4: Either 2003 JTI, or 2008 GTI. Both stock.

Really? Everyone says low 14's with just IDP SCT.

Could be. What's your experience and how many times have you raced a turbo diesel pickup? It isn't the same as a car. Based on your post, I assumed you haven't raced before.

I've been to the track more times than I can count, but this would be the first with a truck. I'm sure I could pick up the launch pretty quick. I've read up on it a little. I'll probably get a few practice launches in before the actual race.

my first time out with my truck i ran a 14.2 and 14.1, it's not that tough. my truck's identical to yours, just a year newer. how'd this all turn out?

Well, the Lightning was in the shop getting a fuel problem fixed. The old Chevy is hacking together an exhaust. And the newer Chevy got sick. I was good to go.

But we rescheduled for tomorrow, so if they punk out again, I win by default!

You should be fine for the low 14s with that set up. I ran 14.5 in my F250 w/ just a Livewire and a straightpipe exhaust, and I also had 400 extra lbs in the bed, so you should be fine.

I just bought the Xtreme Race file today from IDP. Hopefully it'll get emailed to me before the race and I'll load it up before heading out there. I've read about only a few high 13's with the Race tune, but with all the people on here with it, very few have recorded times for me to get an accurate estimate.
I guess I'll just have to do my best. I'm sure I won't beat the Lightning unless he falls asleep, but I've got a good chance against the others.
