The Mighty Cummins!!!!

Alright, so y'all know I work at the race track. Tonight we had a test n tune. I got done early at the speedway and headed to the drag strip. There was a twin turbo Cummins I wanted to see run. The body was based on a NBS Dakota, but it was tubbed and slammed to the ground. Even had wheelie bars. This truck was super sick. It smoked like a train just idleing, and she sounded mean. It was pure race, and i wanted to see it.

I walked up the the starting line and watched him spool up for a burn out. I swear that motor was turning almost 8,000 RPM. He finished his burn out, and BOOM! Big flame flash from under the hood and that baby was on fire. We put the fire out, pulled the hood to find that some how a piston had gone through the valve cover

Oh, by the way tonight was the FIRST time this motor was run besides a dyno in their shop. Its a shame to see it blow up, but its also great

This motor was fully built, hell the intake for the turbos was at least 8 inches in diameter. And the two turbos wouldnt even spool till like 6 grand. They looked the a few turbos off a semi

are you freaking kidding me? i suppose he also sent piston fragments into low orbit, with a mouse piloting them?

I cant think of one time ive ever seen any parts come out the top, its always gone down. think about it.... the head is a HUGE chunk of cast iron and the block is the weakest point with all the water jackets and such.

Your entitled to your own opinion whether or not your right may be a different story. It happened right in front of me, so I know what happened. Don't question me.

Cummins

You must be mistaken, because we all know the Cummins is totally indestructable and was built by God's own hand. In fact, if it doesn't say cummins, it isn't truly a diesel.

Hate to see the money and time the owner spent go to waist, BUT, I really enjoy cummins death stories. It takes a few blowing up like that to remind everyone that they still break like everything else.
