need a lil help
I am planing on getting a F6 chip very soon I like what I have read about your chips and tunes.
i have a few questions whats the difference between the straight econo and the econo mountains tunes? what econo tune do you recomend for the best fuel milage both city driveing as well as highway driving. I am driving a 97 f250, with only a modified air intake and a 3in down pipe i also have the standard gauges (trans temp, egt, and boost) I want my tuck to be a good driver but I also want to be able to go to the track to have a lil fun. I plan for injectors down the road and all the other major upgrades. Thanks for the help |

The mountain specific tunes are for the mountains roads that are long and winding. Driving on roads with back and forth type sharp curves while empty. These tunes were done in the Loveland Pass area of Colorado at 11,000 ft. above sea level. Scenic highway, Blue Ridge parkway type driving or when you're driving over to Breckenridge, Co. This is the best I can describe them to be for. For an all around tune for DD get the 80e. With an '97 you won't see much over 80 hp with stock injectors anyway. ok thanks.
I have another question, I read that tunes and chips can cause your trans to fail early? My trans as far as I know is the original trans and has never been rebuilt, it has 255000 on it. should I be worried about my trans. |

As for the tunes you cannot predict anything won't happen, but I assure Jody has done the research to make sure his tunes with safe transmission tuning if your tranny is in good working condition to start with. He can't bandaid issues already present. Tranny tuning is one of things that got him started tuning. His tunes will help the trans perform better. With that much time on your transmissions clock I would do some maintience to it though whether you put on a chip or not. Diane |
