Tire Choice and Price

Im looking for a 315 75 16 (I believe that will fit without rubbing) in an aggresive mud tire. Im on a 1,000-1,300 dollar budget. I need something that will last me a pretty good while. Truck is just a daily driver so i dont need those heavy duty towing tires or anything like that.
What do you have for me?

the 315/75-16 size is about 35" tall. Do you have any suspension modifications? Will you be running these tires on the factory wheels?

In this size, there is a great selection of off road tires. Some better than others for towing. How much weight do you typically haul? How many miles are you putting on the truck per year?

Im looking for a similar tire in a 305/70/17 or 315/70/17. I tow campers and skid steers regularly. So D or E load range is a must. Either an aggressive AT or MT tire

I recommend Mastercraft Courser MT's. They are not super aggressive but are defiantly a mud tire. They wear really good and ride well. Noise is not bad at all (what i can hear with the stacks lol). I have about 40K miles on them and they still have pretty good life left.

How are you running courser mt's They only list em to fit a 15 inch rim?

Dave...look up the mastercraft tires dot com website, look at the courser M/t, then scroll down through the sizes. They have six for a 15" rim, seven for a 16" rim, one for a 16.5", and one for a 17".

Only thing they have for a 315/70/17 is the Courser A/T...

I would suggest running an E load range tire. Check out the Nitto Terra Grappler in the 305/70-17 size. You may also want to look into the Dura Grappler. It's not real aggressive but it rides well and is great for hauling. They build it in a 285/75-17

Many guys around the area including myself and my dad are having really good luck with Hankook Dynapro MT's. Dynapro's do really well in all types of mud and are really good in snow too. The local tire shop told me that from their experience, they average around 35,000mi which isn't too bad for a mud tire imo. The Dynapro's in size 315/75/16 sell for between $220-$230.
